What to prepare before collection

Have a valid driving licence for the vehicle and the identity document required by the partner. Check that the main driver's details match the booking. Bring the booking confirmation so you can check the dates and agreed terms at collection.

If your document is not covered by the listing's terms, or expires during the rental, clarify this with the partner before paying.

Driver age and driving experience

Look for the minimum age and how long you must have held your licence in the listing's terms. Requirements can vary by partner and vehicle. Acceptance for one rental does not establish eligibility for every other listing.

If someone else will drive too, check in advance whether they need to be registered and which documents they must show at collection.

Crossing a border or taking a ferry

Before booking, tell the partner if you plan to cross a national border or take the vehicle on a ferry. Check the permitted area of use, insurance and any additional documents. Keep written confirmation of the agreed terms.

FAQ

Is my driving licence valid in Croatia?

Check that Croatia recognises your licence and that it covers the vehicle category you intend to rent. The official Your Europe portal advises drivers to check licence validity before renting in another country.

For a provisional licence or one issued outside the EU, check the requirements with the relevant authority. An international driving permit does not resolve every case; establish which documents you need to carry alongside your national licence.

Do I need a card for the deposit?

Read the partner's deposit terms: the amount, how it is secured and the conditions for its return. If a card is required, ask which type is accepted and whether it must be in the main driver's name.

Confirmation of an online payment does not by itself confirm that the partner's deposit has been arranged. Resolve this before arrival, especially if you are travelling with a debit card or without a card in your name.

What should I check at handover?

Compare the rental agreement with your booking, then inspect the vehicle with the partner. Record existing damage, the fuel or battery level and the equipment supplied. Ask whom to contact if the vehicle breaks down and where and how to return the keys.

The public Enzzo listing shows an approximate pickup area. Check your confirmed booking for the exact address and handover instructions.

What if I am missing a required document?

Contact the partner before collection and explain what is missing. Ask them to confirm an acceptable solution. Do not assume that a photograph replaces the original document or that cancellation is free; the terms of your booking apply.
